Children's Books is a broad umbrella term that represents all literature for “younger readers” (ages 2-17), including fiction and nonfiction such as picture books, poetry, chapter books, middle grade books, and young adult books

“Children's Literature” is defined as material written and produced for the information or entertainment of children and young adults. This includes material in all non-fiction, literary and artistic genres in physical and digital formats

For children's books especially, a description shouldn't be more than 200 words. More often than not, everything we need to say can be done with around 100-150 words. Just with the children's book itself, make every word count. The more concise you can make it, the better.
